Like most communities, The City of St. Louis has been holding a celebration of Independence Day for many years and historically St. Louis has celebrated with fireworks on the 1st Saturday of July. In 2007 permission was granted to hold a one day Blues Festival in the street. The success of the first year spawned enough interest for a 2nd, 3rd 4th and this year the 5th festival. In 2008 Center Stage Productions set the tone for a 2 day event and following that tradition will present this years festival on Friday, July 1st & Saturday, July 2nd, which is the first Saturday of July, being fireworks night, making for a great weekend of festivities.... SO, we present to you: "The 2011 St. Louis Blues Festival" July 1~2 located on Mill Street, in front of The Gem Theater, downtown St. Louis, Michigan. Fireworks 10:00 p.m. July 2 There will be many other community activities going on downtown and all around the City on Saturday, look for "Community Activity Page", coming soon. Click on the city link here to learn more about this event and the area, www.stlouismi.com
